Engineering: Simple Dynamics Problem
Because TK models can be sovled with any set of feasible inputs, they can be approached from several directions. A user with a good understanding of the physical system may approach a problem in quite a different way from someone whose insight is less well developed. TK will accommodate both kinds of users. The former will get answers quickly while the latter may spend more time, but gain insight through computational experiments.
Engineering: Singularity Functions for Beam in Bending
This document describes how a TK model using singularity functions can solve particular cases of beams loaded in bending giving the user complete freedom to backsolve for purposes such as studying the effect of altering the position and value of loads or the dimensions of the beam.
Engineering: Solving Beam Superposition Problems
In order to solve beam problems where results for two or more beam models must be superimposed, the easiest approach is to use the beam superposition model where most beam solutions are available as Rule Functions.
Engineering: The Method of Mesh Currents
The method of loop currents makes it easy to use TK to solve for branch currents in an electrical network such as the one in Fig. 1.
TK Solver & MathLook for Excel: Converting Cells To Rules
Many customers are interested in converting their existing spreadsheet files to TK Solver files. One reason is that TK files can be run with RuleMaster, effectively distributing those models worldwide from a single server. Application developers can maintain their code more easily in TK Solver and they don’t have to send new files to their end users every time they make a change.
TK Solver & MathLook for Excel: Adding Calculus Functions To Excel
Excel is a good tool for organizing and summarizing data. Programs such as TK Solver are better suited for solving more sophisticated problems. Fortunately, it is easy to use these two programs together. This case study shows how TK Solver can be used to do numerical integration with the results passed to Excel.
TK Solver & MathLook for Excel:TableSolutions
TK Solver’s versatile List Solver lets you generate tables and plots of variables within systems of equations. Once TK models are linked to Excel, you lose access to the List Solver but you can still use Excel’s functionality to generate tables of solutions based on the linked variables.
